I got my bf a CD of his favorite band for a christmas present but I'm worried about it?

see i thought it was a really great idea at the time cuz he always talks about this band and when i was walkin through a store i saw this CD and i never seen it b4 so i thought it must be a newer release but i am online and i found out this CD is like from 7 years ago and so im worried whether or not i can still give it to him any thoughts?? any help or advice is appreciated i've never had a bf b4 so idk wut to do :/
