Why, as an agnostic, does the anti-Catholicism from fundies drive me so crazy?

Atheists can attack Christianity left and right and I seriously couldn't care less, and yet when a fundie starts in with all this garbage about Catholics not being Christians, it drives me nuts. Why should that be?
