Would anyone know from experienc what is best rout to take from Indianapolis to San Francisco?

The one time I went from SF to Indy we drove 80 through Vail, Denver, and Kansas. I believe that would be I70 to I80 with a short stint on I15. It was an easy route and very scenic through the Rockies which is always best given how much flat land you'll be staring at. I couldn't speak much about any other route though.
